Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

People was running and playing around under and over the snow, covering his head and black coat as he walked calmly to the shining hotel he could finally call home. Sighing deeply he couldn’t mind less of all the noise and movement around him. He was so tired, especially of being away for so long. It wasn’t a lot of time, but he felt it like decades. He could just think in thing, or actually, someone. He craved to see her, to watch her lips curve in that smile he loved, her shining emerald orbs that always made him gasp like the first time. Smiling with pure excitement and happiness, he looked at the green little person on the other side of the street, allowing him to cross along with other humans. The last memory he had of her, was her tranquil and soft features resting over the sheets of their bed as he kissed her very softly to not wake her up. He still regretted that he didn’t wake her up to say goodbye, but the sun was still resting, and so do her. It was surely going to be so hard to leave if she said another word to him, more than what she said the night before. He hoped he didn’t disappointed or upset her with that. Was she going to be on their room, or somewhere else? Somewhere inside the pack land, or maybe even outside the borders? No matter how much he wanted to sleep a bit, he had to find her first and make sure she was okay and that anything changed in Eternal or even the pack nearby. He had so much to do and the Alpha was so delayed with everything thanks to this trip. Sighing again, he looked at the snow resting over everything around him, giving such pure and calming look of clean white cotton. Who would say something so beautiful was as well something so cold it could even kill?

Making sure his ‘gift’, if you could call it that way, was okay under his coat, Daiken opened the huge doors to slip into the lobby, the snow and wind ending with the closing of the doors after him. Shivering slightly with the change of temperature, the huge suitcase in his right hand made its way to the floor slowly so he could remove the snow of his dark hair. His amber eyes moved around with the hope to find her there, but it seemed just some humans were around. New Year was coming and everyone was out of the city or buying presents or who know what. Taking his suitcase again, he walked to the elevator and pressed the button. As he reached the last floor, the doors opened and he appeared once more, his footsteps quiet as he reached their room. Resting his hand over the soft material, he smiled and whispered to the greeting doors, the only obstacle now. “Finally...” Taking his key, one he always took between his fingers every night for the last weeks, craving to use it again where it belongs, he slipped it into the space on the door and heard the lock getting removed to let him pass. Walking inside, his eyes looked at the lone living, exactly the same as it was before he left. Her smell all around him, wrapping him again warmly. He missed this so much, and her, much more.

[[ Face it, you can't beat me at my own game, Daiken for fullness in paragraphs. ;D ]]

Outside the lonesome silhouetted figure stood silently - whilst away by only the sounds the caressed it's pale flesh and long lochs of pure obsidian stone. Secrets, much like the ones the twisted one had heard over so long throughout time were whispered into her ears, telling her stories, both false and true to what may have happened and what caused her to be there and then. The skies to what stretched endlessly through the thick, polluted air that covered the only amount of light other than the waning crescent off to be behind a tall skyscraper like it usually was at this hour. Light tints of dark lavender still stay aloft in the cold air as it was only beginning to hit sunset, where everyone will soon leave the outside to begin buckling down and readying for dinner with their families or even alone. Even from being at the top floor, her eyes could still see with her keen sense of sight the ant-sized people below gather their belongings and walk onwards into the comfort of their apartment complexes and work buildings. They all seemed to have a destination, whereas she had no where to go. There was no where to go, no one to see. Everyone was busy, or rather with someone at the time while she rest in the silence of her suite. She was immune to the lonely life, yet the more time without her beloved partner, the more she realized how being lonely felt and how terrible it left her inside. Her mind wandered deeply in thought as to how long it had been since her mate had left to work, that is until the voices whispered back in response as they had forgotten the time. So much had happened in his absence to what she took neat and proper care of on her own - sharing and spreading the news to only a certain few as they were expected to keep it from becoming drastically known to the pack until the father of the child knew for certain she was expecting. When he would return, she would tell him of all that's happened; everything. From the ups and downs and turns, she would tell him. That's what love does to people. It brings out the truth in them, the emotions and memories to what they shared together. And it all made sense to her now. The warrior of hers, a long forgotten memory, yet a dearest friend to her past heart lay loyal to her ranks in the disappearance of Daiken himself. She knew she had to tell him of that in warning, the last thing she wanted was another fight to erupt between the two, but that's how males were. Over-protective and incompetent creatures, she believed quietly to herself, the common approval to echo in return as the voices thought just the same.

A delicate, cold hand rest comfortably over the bulge beneath her thin materialized shirt. Her stomach had grown another inch or two since he had left, and it was becoming quite obvious in appearance to that she was indeed expecting young soon. It was almost as if she could feel it squeeze her insides and shake them up just to get a whirl out of her. But she held herself like she had when everything else would try to make her throw up, so she knew at least what to do in that case. Stubbornly shutting the door to the balcony, the wind blew passed and the heat surrounded her again. Noctavia then moved along the windows that faced the outer deck, eying the view of New York before tracing her glance to the sleek black piano at her side. Her fingers grazed just slightly over the black and white keys, pressing a few to make a melodic ring to the silent room she was lived in. Placing herself peacefully on the bench, her hands began to position themselves over the keys - nimble fingers readying to play before really pressing them down in a fit of motions. She closed her eyes calmly at the song she played, laying the tips of her fingers to prance and do as they pleased in order to form the notes that she remembered through to the back of her dark mind. When finally did she then start to hum to the melody, swaying in her seat until her belly felt as if it had flipped. Stopping abruptly, Noctavia touched her stomach lightly and looked down to see if something were wrong. Narrowing her gaze, she shook her head, only to then jump slightly in her seat at the sudden sound of the door opening. Only one person had the key to her room, which made her eyes glance to the door - their green shade to be intensified to a whole another level to when they found the image of a male walking through. His sweet scent washed over the room and filled her nose with the slightest touch to make her get up and run towards him, "Daiken!" Once she had gotten to him in time to joyfully wrap her arms around him, she loosened quickly at the feeling of her stomach press against his hard, muscled frame, sliding down back to her normal height to feel the ground and peer deeply into his eyes, "I've missed you so much, but I'm afraid will have to cut that a bit too short on the 'I miss you's' for the moment.. As you can see.." When he would put down his suitcases, she gently grabbed for his hand and pulled him in closer, shutting the door behind him, "I have very important news that needs to be unveiled to you especially." Clearing her throat, Noctavia moved to the lightswitch and flicked it on, turning so that he'd get a full view of her under the little light from the ceiling and the fullness in her lower torso. She looked to her slightly enlarged stomach for just a moment before glancing to him directly with a half-grin, "You're going to be a father, Daiken.. I'm pregnant.."

Her voice made his eyes start to shift into their aqua tone that could just mean happiness and love. She was the only one that could make it, no matter where and when. His head turned to meet his beautiful figure as his free arm took her strongly returning the hug. A big sigh of relief left his lungs and reached his mouth twisted in a big smiled. His eyes closed as long as the hug lasted, her warmth embracing him. This was everything he wanted. Her. Her love. Retreating at the same time as his love, he leaned to left the suitcase on the floor, his eyes shining bright looking at her. Her soft hands took his, being then squeezed lightly with his own. His look turned a bit worried as she informed him about some important news and then left to turn on the lights. His pupils shrunk adapting to the bright surrounding, giving him the sight of his mate and scanning her to see if see was okay and if anything changed during his absence. Returning upwards, his orbs stopped on her stomach. There was something different indeed, but could it be... Her abdomen was bigger, just some inched, but he could tell it wasn’t fat. It was too hard for a werewolf to get fat, considering that the body healed itself, even from excess of cholesterol and carbohydrates. Not just that, he knew well what it meat, as he already saw it before, three times to be exact. Still, he couldn’t believe it, until her words confirmed it. Father..? Both Daiken and Slayer stayed quiet and motionless, looking at her emerald eyes filled with excitement and happiness. His mouth already removed that smile since he noticed the bump on her belly; his eyes now entirely light aqua. A gasp broke the quietness of the room, his muscles couldn’t decide if he wanted to move or stay there like marble. Happiness filled him like water overflowing a glass, but then, that happiness had to fight against the memories he couldn’t prevent from appearing, like a cold dagger trespassing his heart. Pictures and small movies passed in front of his eyes, of his deceased sons and daughter, playing and laughing with him and their mom. Then red filled each picture. Blood, death, hate, and revenge invaded him, followed by the image of his brother with that evil and mocking smile he hated so much. He never told Noctavia about his past, about his first mate and children. Just about Tanken, but now what he did and could still do. Daiken had to close his eyes to stop the memories that tormented him. Remembering he was with Noctavia now, a new child waiting to meet him and vanish some scars in his heart, or that was what he hoped. He had to leave the past behind, even when he never succeeded in the last century. Now he had someone that gave him a reason to do it, to start over, start a new life with her, and the baby they expected. Opening his eyes to meet the one that meant everything to him, the corned of his lips slowly curved up to make that smile reappear. Happiness won once more over the sadness, but worry was still there, annoying him and Slayer like always. He had to take care of his brother before he could even think on hurting his family again. He was his brother, but if the one he once loved was dead, he had to kill that demon before he killed someone else.

As his self was put back together, he walked slowly towards her, his right hand being lifted to slip against her cheek and behind her black and soft hair. Taking the side of her neck and cheekbone softly, he pulled her forwards to trap her lips with his. His eyes closed as he kissed her deeply and passionately. His other hand sliding around her waist to close the space between them, his touch soft and careful with the thought of the creature inside her. He knew he was going to be so protective and careful now with Noctavia. He wasn’t going to let anyone or anything to be a danger or a threat to her and the child. As the kiss ended, he placed his forehead against hers and smiled brushing her lips. His voice turned into a whisper, warm and kind. “I returned with the only objective to see you, and you surprise me with this...” His hand caressed her belly very softly, his chest wanting to explode with excitement as a grin made his teeth to shine freely. “Thank you, Noctavia... Thank you so much.” His watery eyes opened to reveal the love and happiness that filled them, ones that just someone who is gifted with the word ‘father’ could feel. Kissing her again, his strong arms hugged her tightly. A soft laugh passed through his grin. His arms loosened her just to then lift her up and away from the floor. Making a small spin as he kissed her once more. Retreating his face slightly, his colorful eyes peered into her own. “I love you, and I’m sorry I wasn’t here for you.”

The Alphess watched as he moved in towards her, staying completely still as her hand protectively stayed over her stomach in the case of something to suddenly happen. She knew not of what it was like to have a child, nor did she ever expected to have on in her life, but surprises were always around the corner now that she had a pack, which made her only more curious as to how her pack was wandering around these days with their amount of daily dose of drama. As her face was taken gently into his palms and brought up to meet his soft, plush pair of lips, her eyes fluttered slowly shut to kiss him back, feeling the rush of impatience finally wear off as she had been waiting so long to see him. It made her think back to when he first kissed her after walking her and following her up to her suite in the elevator when their concert date was finished. Such memories could not be replaced, as her counterpart made sure of it to keep it burned at the back of her mind to remember - stored neatly in one of her thought files and pushed away with the rest she could still remember so clearly to that day; that moment.

As their foreheads touched, Noctavia opened her eyes to meet two lovely pairs of orbs - possessing the color she found most fascinating in an individual as they gave away his mood when he looked at her. There was many benefits and disadvantages to having such an unique trait such as his, but she minded nothing of it. It would be her little secret to remember for when times would get rough, and arguments would erupt once the moods started to kick in from the pregnancy. Oh boy, she thought sarcastically to herself, blocking the voices from hearing or disrupting her train of thought as the gears began to turn. She hugged her arms around his neck tightly as her lifted her, laughing kind-heartedly for she felt weightless within his grasp, like as if he were to sprout wings and take her up into the moon-lite sky, he could fly with her forever in his arms and never get tired. She loved how it felt, and when put back down, her shining smile made it's way up to look at him, "You act as if I was the one that did all the work, my love. It is after all, your child. There need not to be any acknowledgement for what's been done. I'm only carrying it, but you are the one that blessed me with it." A sigh rolled off her tongue as she put more thought into her situation he was putting her in without much to control. She will be put through more pain and feel miserable, and for what? So that she could have another walking demon's feet pitter-pattering across the floor and cause more mischief than one would ever want? Noctavia had no plans in wanting the child, but as she found the look in Daiken's eyes trace over her with pride and happiness, the female could not break his heart to have the fetus be diminished, ...It's your fault for not telling him to use protection... And with that, the voices smirked and mentally added a tally to the many times they were right and she was left to be silenced.

"Come sit, my love. It's harder than it may seem and appear than what you may not notice. There are things we must discuss that have been issued in your absence, and I need your attention." Her fingers ran along his wrist as she spoke, sliding them over his palm until they intertwined between his to be lead near to up the stairs where their large bed lay empty and wanting them to come lay down under the warm, welcoming covers. Noctavia climbed onto the bed after letting go of his hand, settling herself at her side where she usually rolled onto during their slumber and waited for him to rest on his. Slicing the space, she moved over to press against him and smiled softly before continuing her conversation, "While you were gone, I had run into an old figure of my past that you may or may not take a liking to very much, but you must understand that if you do, it may put a danger into your position as Alpha and loosing me. As for the child, I know nothing of it, not it's gender, as I want it to be a surprise for us and the pack. Ryker had come during one of my lonelier times in the mists of our home and he was the first one and only one that knows officially that I am indeed expecting. He was ecstatic with it and has promised to be the godfather if anything were to happen to us, being that he is the pack's Beta male and as you know, my best friend." Her eyes went directly to him as she meant complete seriousness with what she had to say, waiting till the questions would be brought up and nodding completely to each and everything he had to say in return. It was her role to understand her pack, from the ups and downs to whatever could be thrown at her. But for the moment, Daiken was her only priority other than the pack, and the child of theirs to be. A smile formed at her lips as she sat up a bit more and pecked his lips, "I already thought of some names while you were gone for the baby too. I was thinking Silas for the boy, and for the girl, I was a bit tied between Lyric and Peyton. What do you think?" She asked curiously, looking up at him with a slight tilt of her head. There were many other things she could talk about with him, lots of explaining that was for sure.

‘Yours? As long as I know is ours…’ Not wanting to focus on details, Daiken smiled and followed her happily to their room. Looking as she moved into the bed, the last night he was here quickly passed before his eyes. She looked as beautiful as always. He loved her and now that he knew about the child, he had to do everything to stay at her side and not leave again. Daiken removed his black coat and quickly reminded the ‘gift’ he had brought, or actually, what followed him all day after he left. Looking at Noctavia, he removed the small ball of gray fur and placed it on the bed with a slight smile. The Canadian lynx looked around trying to know where he was, his gray eyes looked at the lady under the covers. Giving a long yawn, the cub moved to a corner and crawled up in a ball, grad to finally be somewhere warm without snow all around him. Taking off his coat and playing it over a chair, Daiken hopped Noctavia would accept the lynx. He removed his bouts and everything from his pockets to then join his mate under the covers.

He listened carefully as she told him what happened during his absence, a detail, as always, caught more his attention that anything else. One insignificant and small detail that could actually, what was it? ‘Put in danger my position as Alpha and losing her’? His smile slowly turned into a serious thin line trying to understand her words. Everything about the baby mattered to him, a lot, but that had to wait for now. He was glad Ryker had been there for Noctavia, when he wasn’t. He trusted him and considered his friend just like Noctavia did. Not being able to return her kiss, he waited patiently until she finished talking to start with the questions of what had gotten into his nerves. He had this feeling something was happening as he was on his trip, now he hated himself for being right. “I... I’m sorry, love, but I must ask you to leave everything about the child to a side, for now. I want to know more about this... ‘old figure of your past’ please. How is it that he is a threat? I care a lot about the rank you gift me with, but I’m more worried about the fact that I may lose you. I just had you, now I need to be worried that it may end? Loosing you includes loosing that child I believe, and something tells me that you don’t mean anything about death, am I wrong? This lost, means a male, and thankfully to my age, a much older one, right?” He was already putting the pieces together, and he didn’t know what to do exactly. “I want to know everything, Noctavia. Please.” His eyes slowly drifted to amber and then back to aqua, staying in a greenish tone between both. His feelings were now mixed together as love wanted to beat the jealousy and worry, anger fighting against happiness. His muscles tensed against her.

Her eyes looked up at him with a faint, evergreen glow as her lips pursed together into a business-like frown. She nodded to what he wished to know and knew that he deserved to hear all of it, and she would not deny or lie about it to the person she loved most of all, just as long as she'd hope for him to understand. That's all she could ever ask for is for him to cope with her on at least keeping a distance from the male if things were to branch into another direction of argument. Clearing her throat, Noctavia sighed and tilted her head against the top edge of the bedpost that sat behind their bed, calculating in her head all of what to say in the most appropriate manner so that he would not be thrown so hard the other way in looking from her point of perspective, opening her eyes to when she was most ready to begin, "While you were gone, this, figure you see had run into me while I was taking a stroll amongst our lands. It would have been a little after Christmas, for I was very alone, and Ryker and Vitani had made other plans to spend with their lovers, unlike me as you know. When I had gone out to get some air through my lungs, I had met my ex-.. fiance, Axel, whom of which has dedicated his life to me long before and have been trusted to work under my ranks as a simple Warrior, though I believe he plans to battle with Damian over the Elite rank. Mr. Evans and I had met hundreds of years ago. I am fine with him becoming Elite male as he has been trained by my himself in the past, and over time I can see that he has been quite nice on dealing with himself as to staying fit. He's older, much older, in fact. Compared to you, Axel holds at most four hundred more years on his shoulders than you. Long story short, we became quite close and well.. he was my first love. We had run off together and traveled the world, country across country just to see what it was like doing on our own and being able to see the world. In those times we killed several individuals as Axel would have only been a couple decades old and unable to contain himself as easily as he would now. Well, sad to say the immortals caught up with us and Axel had been taken away to be put into prison, taking away his life to save my own before I ran off..." Her words trailed slightly from the topic, and she knew internally that she was rambling, but it was her mate that wanted to know everything, and that meant everything. He had to know what she felt for him before meeting the Alpha, what it was like and what all had happened between them in the past till now.

Noctavia peered to him, hoping he'd at least be civilized with her as she had not mentioned any of her exes to him. There was a reason behind that, for she did not speak of such beings and figures of her past, as they did not matter. She had forgotten about them purposely so that she would not have to remember. But Daiken should've known that. And he was to understand how she felt before about the male, as her now love's heart was too once belonged to another. He knew was it was like to feel love before, the heartbreak, the passion, the joy of being so close to another individual that it made hearts sore from their very chests. He knew, and she was right, "I had no intentions as to meeting the male again, for I had thought of him to be dead in those cells. It was true, I did love him, but that was the past, and you are my present, Daiken. We then talked about what had happened, how he was tortured senselessly by the men to whom guarded the prison. In yet, Axel still loves me like he had. He told me this directly, but I could not return it. If I were to say I still loved him, it would be but of only a white lie, for there holds nothing left by the simple bond we once shared that has been weakened after so long of silence to what made us who we are. You are my only love now, Daiken..." The fae moved closer to the brute upon the mattress, wrapping her dainty tattooed arms around him in a tight embrace as she did not want to loose him like she had thought would happen if he wouldn't understand. Their child would become strong and healthy like him, and wise like her with a sense of smart-ass-like attitude, but it would be theirs. And that was all that mattered most, "I will always love you,"

Daiken played close attention to her every Word, not missing a single detail of her explanation about this… Axel. He could feel how his heart shrank when the Word ‘fiancé’ slipped from her lips. He knew she mentioned the ‘ex’ but still, she never told her about this wolf, not even after they encountered that other ‘ex’ at the bar and he luckily made him leave before he would have the need to fight. They were nothing at that time, just friends, but exactly that same night, he made the first move and tempted their friendship and trust with a single kiss that meant everything. Some weeks after, he gave her the ring, and he used his. He loved her, and Daiken knew that feeling started that day at the tattoo parlor, but now... His feelings hasn’t change, just strengthened and incremented every single day he was away from her, knowing how much he missed her and depended on her company. His loner days were off, and he was afraid they would come again for him. Ever since the beginning, he always thought loneliness always reached him, over and over again, no matter who he found and wanted to stay with. What if it was his destiny to be that way? A lone wolf that will reach death at some point in his life? No... if he was going to die, he was going to do it for someone. If this Axel wanted his rank, and with that, Noctavia, he wasn’t going to back off like a coward. No matter what she asked him, to maintain him alive, he would fight, even when he know Axel was going to rip him apart in seconds. He was much older, and it was simple suicide, but Daiken refused to become a loner again. He wasn’t going to accept staying in the pack knowing the love of his life was with another one.

As she finished, Daiken gave a deep breath and then sighed long and slow, trying to organize his thoughts. The wasn’t much to think actually. She loved him, he loved her, forever, hopefully, and a 400-500 year old wolf loved her too and could rip his head out and place it on a stake without problem... Oh, and now he was part of Eternal and was making his way up the higher ranks... It was very depressing actually... ‘Don’t forget the kid...’ Slayer’s voice broke in, calmed and even happy to mention that word again after so long. The ghost of a smile passed his features. The wolf was right. Thinking in the kid they were going to have made it all better. Maybe, just maybe, this Alex would be a selfish idiot and think on killing the young father... Looking back at Noctavia, his eyes slowly returned to that aqua he just had for her. He slowly returned her hug until it ended. Taking her face softly, he left a kind kiss on her lips, whispering softly against them. “And I love you, for far away, for far too long. Never forget that, no matter what happens.” Giving a small smile, he knew there was nothing else to discuss about this guy, but there was a topic he was still very interested in. “So... Silas and... what about Lyric?”
