Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

He looked himself at the mirror and doubted for a moment. He hoped she will like what he had planned for today. He still needed to ask her if she was free and wanting to go with him, not giving out any information about the place and what were they going to do. He hadn’t seen her in weeks since the masquerade dance and he was getting nervous just by thinking in passing another night at her company. Sighing he arranged his dark blue, long sleeves button shirt and black jeans. His black usual boots made his every step heavy and hard. He put his titanium Citizen watch and a single steel chain in his neck. Taking his phone, wallet, and keys, he walked to his door and closed it before pressing the elevator’s button.

Reaching her door, he closed his eyes and sighed once more. Ryker’s words sounding at the back of his head made a confident smile appear. He knocked the door three times and waited for her to open it. When she did, the Delta bowed his head in respect and gave her a small half-smile as always. “Good evening, Alphess Noctavia. I’m sorry I came before you without any notice, but I have a favor to ask you, if you allow me.” Straightening his back and shoulders he looked straight at her emerald eyes he loved. “Noctavia, would you accompany me for a walk outside near the Times Square? I have someplace I would like to take you, tonight, it can’t wait actually.” Smiling he waited for her answer as his eyes slowly traced her beautiful features.

A feminine groan roared out from underneath a large pile of dark colored blankets upon a decently large bed. The sound of her alarm made her jump slightly and curl her lip in an annoyed snarl to bare her elongated fangs before the shriek of light that shown through her curtains. Her hair fell at the sides of her face in a wavy mess of shadows, though one emerald snake-like eye was blinded from the light, squinted to readjust her vision quickly to see straighter. Noctavia felt herself given to the comfort of her bed, slowly sinking away to shut her eyes for another few minutes. When she believed her energy had been gained enough to lift herself from the sheets, she aimlessly moved down the steps in small slides of her socked feet. Rubbing at her cheek and pushing away the hair that covered her face, she slowly but surely made it to the bathroom, discovering the hopeless wreck before her within the glass reflection of a woman. She growled lightly through her teeth as she examined herself through the mirror, mindlessly ignoring it to strip from her clothing and slowly emerge into the hot shower she turned on.

When she was just beginning to relax under the rush of water, the sound of a knock on her door pounded into her sensitive eardrums. At first, the Alphess ignored it, but as it echoed another knock, she glared towards the bathroom door, cursing under her breath as she was not informed of any visits that morning. Keeping the water still on, she stepped out and thrust out a towel from the stack under the sink and wrapped it around her bare, naked frame. As she tightened it, Noctavia quickened her pace to move out and towards the door, mumbling with an annoyed tone, "Who in the Hell is-" Her eyes shot open as her hand pulled the golden knob of her door, using the other to hold up her towel while her words completely stopped. Seeing Daiken on the other side, she froze and pursed her lips, hearing the light noises of drops of water drip from her hair and onto the wooden floor at her feet, "Oh.. I- um..." She stuttered, then nodding once to his words, "Um okay.. but- uh.. just.. just give me a second, okay?" There was no sign of embarrassment to be found over herself, asides from the cracks in her voice, but that was all. She had no color, or hint of discomfort in the idea of her being in a towel in front of him, but she quickly moved away from the door, keeping it open if he were to step inside or simply wait in the hall for her.

Turning off the shower and making her way to her closet, she shut the door behind her to drop her towel to the floor. She moved quietly through her wide variety of clothes to what she could never learn to specifically keep in order at times, so she left it to the maid to do it for her. Finally finding what to wear, she slipped into a pair of red skinny jeans and pulled over a black sweater over top of a white tank top. As she found a matching grey and black scarf to match, she wrapped it around her neck and tucked into her sleek charcoal colored pea-coat. Noctavia then fixed her outfit to her liking, matching pieces of certain jewelries to match along with slipping into her black combat heels. For a change this time in a while, she pinned her hair up into a messy bun so that her face could actually be seen for once, lightly applying a quick sweep of eye liner before grabbing her purse from the kitchen counter. She slightly smiled to see him waiting patiently, freely letting herself to near his side and hug her hands around his arm neatly, "Lead the way." With that, the Alphess strolled along side of the Delta, riding down through the elevator to be looked at from many angles by the lobbymen and mortal males in general to see the great Alphess herself smile for a change. They stared at the brute in envy, though in truth they knew she would never go for them no matter the consequences. She smirked once as she glanced quickly up at him with a knowing gaze, leading him out the glass lobby doors and into the noisy streets. The bright lights of the buildings and advertisements shined in her eyes, making her counterpart growl in frustration and herself become easily annoyed with the loud noises of life within the city. She loved New York, but sometimes it was too much to handle as she preferred staying hidden within her room alone to play her piano. When the had reached Time Square, she had already begun to recite the time of their last visit in the Central Park, such memories to what could never be replaced and then the talk Ryker and her had discussed about to themselves. At this time of year, she could see her breath amist the air in front of her; she hated the cold, but her thoughts was more targeted to what the Delta had in mind.

He looked away after realizing she was just in a towel covering her delicate figure from his sight. Any thinking or wish a male’s mind could create with that image was deeply locked before he could even begin to wonder what to think. She was a lady, his Alphess, and he was going to treat and think about her with respect and honor. His eyes quickly moved to meet hers, avoiding looking at her body like if she were naked, and nodded quietly before she left to change. He felt like a boy looking at a gorgeous lady in just one piece of fabric covering her body for the first time. Maybe because he had spent so much time absent of that views or acts. He was never one to just have that kind of entertainment for the simple pleasure of it. Even if that meant to maintain ‘that’ saved for a years... God. How much time had it passed since the last time he... Pushing the thought away, he maintained his position like a statue waiting for her to come. It hadn’t been so hard. He thought the Alphess had other plans or works to do, but no. A small smile moved his lips gaining more and more confidence and hope with each minute.

Looking up again, indirectly relieved she was with clothes again, he gave her his usual half-smile and prevented a blush to appear as she took his arm and moved closely to his side. Daiken blended his arm to his stomach, his muscles contracting with that simply movement, growing slightly under her touch. He moved with her in the elevator and outside the fancy hotel, they walked slowly and quietly until they reached the Times Square main street and started walking along with the entire human flood along the sidewalk. Several stores and restaurants lined at their sides. Lights and shows moving with them and making their presence notable even in daylight. It was awesome how humans loved this waste of energy in the daylight but they didn’t need it. Stopping in a place not as populated as the other areas, he glanced at his watch and then at her. It was a bit early. They could grab something to eat and then be there with plenty of time to have a good view of everything. Looking back at the restaurants, he picked one a bit deserted but that he knew good breakfasts were served. Leading her gently, he climbed the stairs leading to a second floor and opened the door for her to pass. At the top of the wall the brown and black sign reading 'Pigalle' in bright red and yellow letters welcomed them. The inside was rather big from what it appears in the outside. The roof had a huge circle in the middle with several yellow lanterns around it. The big windows at the right wall showed buildings and lights of the Times Square. Several small and square tables and seats made of wood lined up in front of them, showing they were just for pairs. A small bar waiting for the night to come was on a corner at the left, several tall chairs along the counter, all of them empty at this hour. A buffet table right in the middle behind the tables gave them all the smells and scents of the just-made food. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, fruit, bread, everything mixing and dancing in the air for them to choose.

The Delta moved and picked a table near a darker spot away from the noise entering through the opened windows. Moving the chair for her to sit, he pushed her softly near the table to then take a sit himself. With a single look of his amber eyes, he called the waiter to bring the menus. Looking at the list and then at her, he waited patiently for her to decide so he could go to the buffet and bring whatever she wanted from it. Already knowing what he would have, he left his menu aside and looked at her once more. “What would you like to eat?” After having her reply, the Delta nodded and walked to the buffet, taking two plates and placing over them their breakfasts. He took some scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, fries, and pancakes for him, with a single croissant to accompany his orange juice and black tea, and returned to his seat after placing her plate in front of her.

Taking a sip from his tea he waited for her to start eating to then take his fork and taste the eggs and bacon hungrily. They were hot, fluffy, and with the right salt, the bacon crunchy and delicious. Slowly he finished his plate and moved to take his croissant, leaving the best for the end. “How has been everything, Noctavia? I haven’t seen you in quite a time. I apologize for that. Had been training and working a bit. Time seems to pass so quickly sometimes.”

[[ Sorry its short. >_< ]]

Finding herself comfortable after fidgeting in her seat, Noctavia glanced up at the waitress that returned to their table for their choice of order. Her brow arched slightly at the large unhealthy choice of human food he requested, though she too was not the healthiest when it came to such things. The menu did little to please her, so with her hypnotic sinister eyes shot up and glared to the mere mortal that soon took a safe step back to silence herself, "I'll have a cup of coffee, black, please, in addition to a small blueberry muffin." They had already known who she was from visits before, even if she rarely came, they would always know the striking woman with the snake green eyes. She was almost considered a warning to man-kind, as if there were to be an accident, they'd easily target her as a suspect behind it. Her work had increased throughout the busy months of preparation, and she could slowly see the progress impact on herself as to how it all would come undone. Not long after dismissing the waitress with a wave of her hand, their breakfast had arrived and the charming sound of the male's voice spoke up in question. Noctavia cocked a soft smile, "There are no need for apologies, I've been very busy and occupied with more important things myself, Daiken. And yes, I already have come to know about your training, and might I add that you're doing an exceptional job as well. Since our last visit, I've been dealing with.. some internal conflicts, but now its all been situated." Hinting at the idea, it made her remember of what her and Ryker spoke about, what secrets that were unveiled and kept locked to the outside world beyond her suite's walls. It made her smile, knowing now what she knew not then to do in order to discover more on the conflict her mind was jumbled with. Her wolf made it a bit difficult to understand, as she too had that to deal with as well, but hopefully soon time would be on her side eventually. "I think its just the fact of being under stress at work for a while, got me in a daze for a while I guess." She said a bit quickly to cover it up, remaining constant of her facial expressions so her face would not be easily read.

Eying the Delta as he stuffed his face with an ungodly amount of food, she bit down on her jaw to keep herself from making a strange face at the smell of bacon. She loved meat, maybe a little bit too much at times, but pork had always been a dislike of hers to even come close to tasting. Their blood in general was never healthy, let alone the layers of fat they contained. It made her almost get up and walk away at times, though as the Alphess, she stayed in her seat and minded her business while enjoying the bits of pieces she pinched off her muffin, "And how have you been, asides from the training and all? I hear you've mean making yourself a bit more socially known throughout the pack, I would presume that you have been making a bit of friends as well, right?" Her apple-shaped head tilted just slightly, shifting her weight within her seat while letting her eyes trace over his every movement, facial expression, the color of his eyes, and tone of voice. He was a lovely specimen, she strangely believed, as she found it just simply interesting to watch him, and that was all. Noctavia had always prayed for the ability to read minds, so then she would know what some people think when they looked at their companions the way he did when his eyes turned aquamarine only on her. She wanted to know what went on in that large dark mind of his, the things she had not seen, yet he had. The feelings he felt towards her as his Alphess, and what made him happy when she wasn't there to see it. The image of his smile almost caused her cheeks to burn, switching it quickly with the attempt of something boring so it would not make her appear as a little girl dipping into her mother's make-up kit of blush all over her face. Fortunately, the waitress arrived with the bill, and it made Noctavia sooth her mind to normal. As she took one sip of her coffee, she stood up and fixed her coat again, watching Daiken as he would pay her like the gentlemen he was, and allowing herself to leave the tip so he wouldn't have to. It was fair for both of them, then, she thought. Looking to him as she waited, she picked back up her purse and smiled, "So," she started off quietly, sighing slightly, "What's on the agenda for this morning, Delta? I would like to get back before a bit after noon, I still have paper work to file out and some supplies to pick up down at my office." Working as a design entrepreneur had its perks, but she also had plans of beginning in starting designing a clothing line. As much as she hated her co-workers for their stupid behavior and annoying antics, they always commented her on how-well dressed she was and how beautiful she is. Noctavia would just give a slight thanks to them before returning to her work, as she really didn't care to talk to them, but get home so she could spend the luxury of living near her pack. It had grown on her now-a-days, which made herself a bit more relaxed now that she had protection at her feet.

Daiken smiled slightly remembering Ryker, their fight and his words. “Indeed, Noctavia, but for now I can only say I made one friend for the moment, apart from you of course.” His eyes maintained on hers for a moment, enjoying her company a lot more than what he remembered. He always felt different when he had the chance to be near her, to listen to her soft voice and have a look at those emerald shining eyes, he felt, happy. Finishing his croissant and tea, he cleaned himself with the napkin in his lap to then leave it neatly folded over the table at this side. “I’m sorry to hear you have work to do, Alphess. Unfortunately, I will ask you to don’t leave my side for the rest of the day, or let’s say... 8pm maybe.” He smiled at her hoping he wasn’t acting to demanding and confident. He looked at his watch and then at her again. “It’s 11:30 already and we still have until 3pm to be there, until 3:30 for it to start, and then until 8pm, we will be leaving. That means we need to keep going now so I can show you our next activity for the next 3 hours.” Taking the bill, he looked at it carefully to then sign it with the pen that the waitress brought. Taking out his wallet, he took out 50 dollars and left it over the table along with the bill, leaving the other 23 dollars of change as tip, not caring at all about it. “You are all mine for today, Noctavia, and excuse me if I will not accept a ‘No’ for an answer.” Flashing his white teeth at her in a truly happy smile, he lifted from his seat and extended his hand for her to follow him again.

Moving outside, he looked around and started to walk. They went a bit slower this time; he wanted to make sure she was having a good time instead of feeling like a slave not capable to go anywhere. If she ever said she needed to leave or just wanted to, he was going to let her. He didn’t have any power or intention of retaining her with him if that wasn’t what she wanted. Still, that would simply crush him down to then feel how his heart was stepped on several times to be like a stamp over the sidewalk. His amber eyes glanced at her as they walked, the sun making them more yellow than usually. He hoped he could be with her always, and not as friends, but something else. He couldn’t get the picture off his mind when he was almost going to kiss her in the masquerade dance. What would happen if he did? He sighed quietly and glanced at her again. Could someone so intelligent, gorgeous, strong, confident, and valuable accept to be something more than a friend or packmate with him? That was simply stupid... But hey, a man can dream, and sometimes a dream comes true, or you simply die or live forever alone... Crap.

After some more walking, the title of the Resort World Casino appeared before them. A bit deserted due to the hour but always working. “Would you like to prove your luck, Alphess? Maybe some Texas Hold’m Poker of 21 Blackjack? Or would you prefer to go somewhere else?" He smiled and titles his head just slightly in question. They could enter there or just choose something else. He didn’t know much about the Times Square, and he already took her to the few places he did.

"Uh, okay then." His actions surprised her to a point it made her go along with it, she never much cared for doing work, especially on a weekend, so it was nice to get away from it all to have time for some mind searching. Noctavia smiled slightly to the bit of directions he chose, she was a professional at this, fortunately knowing the city like the back of her hand. She could still remember the times that were harsher in the past, even back through time when the city was not even built to a point for roads to pass through. It used to be nothing but flat land near the ocean, but what is now be known as a famous city to the mortal eyes around the world. Just looking at him made her break those memories though, as if his appearance made her past be worth nothing but a speck of dust floating in the subways below their feet. She smiled, knowing then she was near to discovering the undiscovered to that of which hide beneath the rust and dust of her chest and mind within. Her counterpart whispered things to a point she could barely understand, nor did she even bother to find out as she was too caught up in the slightest feeling of happiness being at his side. Looking up at the sign, she tilted her head, wondering as to why out of all places. "I don't mind, if this is where you would like to stop first to pass the time till the show or whatever you have planned to start, then it's fine. I won't deny that I'm picky, but it is was it is. I'm quite the gambler, truthfully, just a warning." She smirked slyly, giving him a knowing, emerald look to tell whether he remembered the time of her revelation through the wonderful art of imaging. Such times could not be replaced, she thought, thinking back to the moment where they stood there, in her room, simply watching as she controlled her power to project before his very eyes in the state of trust.

As she entered the premises, her eyes sparkled with the reflection of the several rows of slot machines, darkened just faintly with the little lighting of the room to mesh together for the perfect balance of a radiant green and sleek shine to her hair. They were on her territories now, meaning none of their kind would be found unless under the pack ranks and the every day crowd of mortals for cover. Rings and buzzers sang into her eardrums, strengthening through the tones the closer and further she would walk from them, never really seeing as to wonder if he were following or not. She was mesmerized by how many things she could instantly see herself winning at, though, her goal was not to deal a load out of someone's cash, as much as she truly wanted to. The rooms were not as filled, for it was mid-day, only then will rush hour begin it's repetitive shouts and rings throughout the room in the later day to dark nights. Finding the room temperature acceptably warm for her, Noctavia slid off her black pea coat to hang it up on a coat rack for guests near the back rooms for security, taking her valuables with her just to be on the safer side, "You wouldn't mind getting me something to drink, would you, please Daiken?" The Alphess said in a politer tone than her normal voice, gazing into his eyes with a source of dominance and striking beauty within hers. Hesitantly after, she moved slowly to look over the room, seeing little to be dealt with to her own entertainment, so she decided to wonder around. Just when she was beginning to think it was pointless to go in her, her eyes bore over an empty room with a pool table - locked in place to hold her attention wisely. And like that, she moved freely as a ghost, wavering her hips in an elegant strut towards the tables with no one other in sight of disruption. Wanting to play a round, or even two, she dug out a pool stick and the round colored pool balls to arrange within the triangular barrier till they slid into place evenly at each other's sides. As she waited for Daiken's return, Noctavia aimed her eyes directly on the white cue ball at the end of her pool stick, keeping a steady hand at her upper side and the other hand just towards the end of the stick before thrusting the stick forwards for a loud pop to make the balls scatter. Luckily, three shots were made, and she smiled to herself slyly, wondering what else she could earn in such time to kill.

He nodded at her request and went to the bar at one side of the huge structure. The question was, what drink? Looking at the several bottles resting against the wall he decided for a Cuba Libre, rum with coke and a bit of lemon. For him he asked for a simple Quitapenas, cream of tequila in the rocks. Waiting for them to be made, he looked around at all the games and card tables. A woman was fighting with a lot machine as she kept wasting money and losing it at his left side. The chances to win in those machines where 1 in 3000. He chuckled at how naïve and idealistic humans were. He had other ways to gain money with the jobs he made underground, ones he still needed to tell Noctavia about. He wondered if she would care. A man was already looking pale and defeated in the Blackjack. Almost all the money he brought was already taken by another younger player at his side with a mocking grin and a girly green drink in his hand. He loved card games, and he knew well how to play them. It was true 50% of winning was having what they call ‘good luck’. The rest was mental ability, intelligence, and the ability to confuse and pretend in front of the other. Of course with a werewolf was more difficult to success, by appearing as you had a terrible hand when you know you had the best one. It asked for more practice and being a good liar.

The bartender placed the drinks over the counter and Daiken turned to verify it were his drinks. Paying for them, he looked for her and smiled at her chose of game, being pool one of his favorites. Returning to her side, he gave her the drink hopping she would like it. Daiken took a sip of his own and left it over a small table against the wall. He looked at the wall for a pool stick and waited patiently his turn. He lifted his brows and smiled at her good shot. He wondered if they were going to simply pot all the balls or will actually compete. “What if we make this more interesting and play 8 Ball Pool?” Daiken suggested taking another sip of the tequila. “As you succeed in potting three balls in the opening shot, you can choose your type of balls, striped or solid, leaving the 8 ball for the end.” Smiling he remembered when he last played with his friend, the same one that painted graffiti with him and then died in an accident. Humans were so weak sometimes, at least physically. Any sickness, illness, or physical hazard could send them to the grave. They always played Screw Your Friend. “Do you know the game, Screw Your Friend? Where you have to pot all the balls of your friend, not yours? Is the contrary of 8 Ball, and you guide yourself by the numbers, not the type of the ball.” If you pot a 5, then you had from 1 to 8, in a two-player’s game, so you needed to pot the ones of the other, from 9 to 16. That game was very apt for 3 or 4 players, so you could choose which one to screw.

By the way he described the game, it made the Alphess narrow her gaze in furthermore thought, as she did not know the game by heart, nor had she played it before. There was some similarity in the objective that enabled her to get an idea of what the goal was, so she nodded, agreeing with an affirmative gaze to the request and smiled, "Alright. I choose...," Her eyes then danced over the round colorful pool balls, wondering whom to choose from, but knowing that due to her past, she always chose the solids. It was something about the fullness of the color around the ball that seemed to quite times always catch her eyes and prove to her that that is hers, "solids." She said, poking her nose upwards to peer back into his eyes once more with a cocked grin and confident shining aura to blend within the sparkle of dominance in her stance among them. The Alphess turned her head to face the table, already calculating her next shot on to when she would go, and then thinking on some moves to what he could pull as well. With too many years to count on her shoulders of experience, she knew the ups and downs and faults of whirling around the pool sticks and pool balls. It was a trick she learned at a young age, under the influence of the every day drop out and thugs to find in alleys just picking on up for some trouble. Of course at the time she was just a newly shifter, an offspring, but with the Alpha blood line, she was able to control it, and let it go to whenever she cared. Others, however, were not given that ability, so she was better known luckily gifted.

Taking a swing to her hip in one step, she shifted her position to near him, pool stick in hand while she used the other to elongate her claws underneath the faintly dark lighting to inch at the mid of his chest to the tip of his chin, "You first, Delta." Noctavia smiled as if the devil had given her all the power to put in her hands, glistening under the little light the dark emeralds of her eyes. Her gaze was intoxicating to the eyes of any, mortal, or immortal, and her tongue resembled that of a snake's, sly and poisonous. One wrong move, and she'd have the prey within her grasp without thinking anything on it, just death. The sound of pain made small shivers tingle at the end of her hollow spine, oh how she wished right then for it to be dark so she could perform her killings and run for miles in her wraith-colored wolf. Purposely, like what she had done the night they had met, she brushed her side up against him as she walked to the pool's side in patience, just peeking cunningly over her shoulder with the ghost of a smile on her face at him. This 'fascination' Ryker put it as in her head was more stronger than she would ever begin to think, but soon enough, it gradually began to grow on her, and make her a little thrilled inside. When it had almost made a light shade of a pink on her cheeks, she stopped and straightened, no time for funny business, she grumbled to herself inside, ...Think about the pack... he is just the Delta for Hell's sake... think... The counterpart's whispers made her lips purse back from growling, snapping at herself for what she knew was best. Though, the time was closing on whom will be able to prove to her most of the better male for her pack's Alpha. Daiken was a stronger option on her list, as he had been the only one to make her smile, other than Ryker, but they were just friends, nothing more. But it was Daiken, the Delta and loner so long ago she had met in a run-down tattoo parlor shop that caused the evil soul of hers to be enlightened with something new. She sighed, pinching lightly of her pool stick between her fingers enough so it wouldn't snap under her strength.

He smiled when she agreed to play 8 Ball, but then tensed and stood motionless and quiet with her next act. Her claw made him want to swallow and back away, but at the same time, he wanted to step closer and press against her, no matter if her sharp claw punctured his heart. She already did it long time ago. Even when her claw brushed the scar in his chest, he didn’t flinched or make the slightest move. It was weird. Letting her do whatever she wanted or wished with him. He just couldn’t say no. Not because she was his Alphess, because he wanted to give her anything, everything. Her teasing was growing evil when she brushed against his side, again... It was the second time now and he felt like his body would collapse every time she did that. He turned his head to follow her body as she passed him, his amber eyes grabbing that tiny smile she made over her shoulder. She was so mysterious and he wanted to know all those things, those secrets she kept from him and everyone else. It was already a goal to manage a way for her to open freely and without any reservation with him. Smiling slightly he looked at the pool table again and nodded.

After looking at all the striped balls, his eyes flew to the red one at her side. He moved slowly reaching her side and leaned towards the table to place the pool stick in position. Glancing at her with the corned of his eye, he nudged her side with his shoulder and a secret smile before shooting and potting the ball in the hole at the other side of the table. He moved away again following the cue ball and looked at her slightly, still with his half smile. Potting two more at the same hole, he felt trapped as all of his striped balls were blocked with her solid ones. Thinking a bit he decided to make the cue ball hit the side to then rebound and hit one of his striped ones, but it hit one of her balls, changed direction, and pot nothing. Smiling he retreated from the table and looked at her. He walked forwards to her spot and neared her face, moving his head to the side to whisper very near her ear, his hot breath reaching her neck slowly and teasingly. “Your turn... Noctavia.” Smiling with confidence, he took her pool stink and changed it with his before walking to the small table where his drink rested. Taking it he drank a small sip not losing her from his sight. Both could play that game...

At a slight surprise, she tilted her head to the side as the breath from his mouth blew down onto the milky flesh of her neck, causing a rippling effect of goosebumps to rise up in the mists of no where. She could not help herself but too growl lowly in her throat, just lightly biting back her lip to keep it from rising louder. If she didn't know better, it could have been obvious of her actions, as it was him that made her feel this way after all. With his teases playing back, she found it entertaining, amusing even, because it was games like this that kept her abilities fluently active. Looking to him at the corner of her eyes - slyest at their most -, she peered down at the pool stick he had given her for the exchange of hers, rubbing on some of the blue colored chalk before maneuvering her hips in a sway-like fashion passed him. After quickly glancing at the position of all the pool balls, she pursed her lips into a concentrated frown, simply finding a way around the game to shoot it into a perfect shot. Noctavia relaxed her wolf inside that snarled in protest against the behavior she was showing, mindlessly dismissing the curses her counterpart had to speak as she thought up her next move.

Smirking as she had found one, the Alphess made sure that Daiken was in the right spot, as well as herself. Bending over the side of the table just so he could get a finer view of her rear, she potted a bank shot to a purple ball at the other side of the table. The ends of her hair hugged around her soft cheekbones carved into the sides of her pixie shaped face. She chose not to look at him for his reaction, as she was too infested in the game so early in her works to keep track of what happened around her. Taking a breather, she turned swiftly on her heels to return back to the table to where her drink sat to its self near Daiken. Eyeing him pleasantly with a sweet sinister smile, she took a quick sip and resumed back to the game. Her tongue slowly graced over her top lip, closing one eye as she measured the distance and diameter of the next shot she would perform. Once she knew how much of an angle she had turn at, Noctavia bent back down over the side, slightly shifting the motions of her balance to decease and thrust her hand forwards so the momentum would cause not only her balls to be freed, but his as well to scatter once more. Potting two of her own, she also potted accidentally one of his, thus revealing her the notice it was not her turn. She didn't really care as to whom they belonged to, not the amount of fouls, since it never really mattered to her whether or not. All she cared about was her to win. As she caught the cue ball between her five claws, Noctavia strolled back over to the male, lifting it near his chin to drop in his lap. Watching him carefully as she did this, she lapped at her drink till it was half-filled, then wondering what time it was when she took a seat, "What time is it?" She looked to the unfinished game, finding out there was only a few more balls of her solids left on the green materialized table with the cold black one just waiting for its final turn as to whom would get to it first, "and what time did you want to leave here, to wherever you have planned..."

He looked down at her and almost chocked with his drink as he unintentionally looked at her ass. Recovering again he looked away to any other place, his cheek blushing slightly. She was really something special, teasing him like that, nice played... She made another excellent shot and he relaxed again. Looking at her coming near he thought in the possibility of her teasing him again and prepared his eyes to look away, but she just took a sip of her drink with that smile that made him want to step closer and take a chance. His eyes couldn’t leave her mouth as she licked her red lip and made another shot. Daiken took a sit and then another sip of his almost finished drink. She came back with the cue ball between her claws and before she let it fall, he quickly put his hand under it to catch the ball and don’t feel the slightest pain in his own. He sent her a half smile until she took the sit next to him. Glancing at his watch he looked back at her and finished his drink before answering. Time actually passed quickly and he never noticed it. She was the one that caused him to be so distracted? Sure it was her... “2:35. We should be there at 3. Wish to leave now, Noctavia?” He stood up and offered her his arm to continue to their final destination. The time finally came. He really hoped she was going to like it.

Walking outside again he took his left and walked to the same direction as many other humans. They followed the wave of flesh slowly and reached a huge black door guarded by several Gorillas all dressed in black suits and yellow letters reading ‘Security’. They were preventing more than half of the people to come in and the few that could pass where checked very closely as well as their tickets to see if they weren’t fake. Daiken made his way through the people taking Noctavia closer until a black men stopped him right in the entrance. He took his wallet and handed out two gold tickets with the word VIP impressed in black letters. The men looked at them and took the right end of it, handing the rest back to Daiken. He passed his hands quickly down his sides to his ankles. When he was about to check Noctavia, Daiken stopped him and took his black shirt with some force, moving him back. With a low growl and an amber glare the men retreated and let them pass without a question. They moved along a dark hallway until a plain outside area spread before them. People were already inside walking to the sector their tickets instructed or searching for a drink. He walked to the right to the first sector apart from the rest. A huge scenario spread in front of them as another Gorilla checked the tickets again. Letting them pass he closed the entrance again and stayed in his place. There were some benches at the sides of the area and he chose one close to the stage as they waited for it to start and more people to come. Black huge curtains blocked their way to what was behind them, waiting for them to open and receive the crowd.

In the shortness of timing, Noctavia kept her pace to match in sync with Daiken's, continuously reminding herself that it twas to be a surprise, even though she greatly despised them. However, she stayed contempt with the idea and moved onwards to wherever he led her for a change. It was very rare to when she as an Alphess would let the Delta bark here and there, but she strangely enjoyed the confidence he withheld in those moments they shared. It was not in any bit of rudeness towards her, though she still felt a bit iffie on the basics of it all through the difference in rank and superiority. She found his actions quite amusing once they had encountered the bouncers, eying them blankly with a smug look on her face when passing right on through with flying colors. Noctavia had to hand it to him, it was definitely a turn on, that is, to watch an attractive made to her fascination try to protect her, but the other side of her disagreed as well. With that, the forces from both sides fought at different angles at how to coup with the emotions she felt internally, locked behind the normal to her externally. She could take care of herself, as she had been doing it for over a thousand years, but she left it to Daiken to what he chose to do.

Fortunately for her, the security let them through with ease as the tickets and passes were shown, and not a soul in sight saw the poking expanded part of her pack pocket in the shape of a knife. She smirked, lightly tucking her sweater over the grip so it would appear just to be a phone, or perhaps a wallet there instead. She had carried the blade for almost eighty years, and certainly wasn't going to stop now, as she held no reason to, she thought. Finally, as they were eventually seated, Noctavia tensed in her seat and glanced around the room as it started to pile with more bursts of mortals. Ones that stuck out like a sore thumb annoyed her the most, that until a couple women of strange angles shot their share of looks and giggles to the Delta male at her side. A small side of her started to feel at ease, whereas the rest, including her counterpart, was disrupted and thoroughly grew in irritation to her surroundings. Crowds of people were one of her least of favorite things to do when it came to their world, and as more came close, Noctavia held herself back from removing herself from the seat all together. She wished to spend time with Daiken, but not with so many people so near her. Keeping them away, she exchanged cold glares to those who went to sit a couple seats near, making sure they kept their distance especially those who tried who were young women wanting to sit with her Delta.

Just as she began to collect her thoughts, her eyes slightly widened and lowered as her cheeks rose to a light pink blush. Her counterpart growled furiously at her behavior and snarled at its loudest for her to stay professional with the date. Sighing deeply, she sank back comfortably in her seat to relax, praying to whatever spirit that Daiken had not been watching the whole time at least. Once she was relaxed, the Alphess sat back up and folded her legs over one another, speaking as if nothing had happened, "Are you going to tell me why you brought me on this date for once? Or am I just going to have to guess with you now?" As she thought about it some more, she almost persuaded herself to believe it was not rather Daiken's decision only, but also another, one she knew could be behind this. She shook her head slightly, knowing to herself as it was her Beta male that knew about her liking into the Delta, wondering how much he told and how much Daiken knew of what she felt. Little did he know that this was just an experiment for her to see if it were real or not, already she could see the changes in her actions, which was not good at all, she thought. Wondering when the show would start, she looked to the male with a soft smile, finding her gaze to lower towards his hand, ...Don't.. you... dare.. Her wolf snapped, denying the want it shared with her true feelings, but Noctavia didn't listen. Slowly she slid her hand to rest over the soft palm of is, lightly grabbing it to place up onto the arm rest so that she could bend her fingers between the gaps of his. It made her smile to herself, but instead of looking to him, she peered to the curtains, grinning out of the corner of her mouth at how warm and pleasant it felt for him to be this close.

Daiken had a lot of patience, but now he actually wanted the show to start. He glanced at Noctavia slightly but then looked back at the stage. His thoughts rolled into his head thinking if she will like it or will just want to leave. Was this a good idea after all? He knew Noctavia didn’t like multitudes, and this was going to be a big one because of the theme. Sighing he tried to calm down at the same moment and Slayer growled at him for causing such a fuzz about this. He hated the fact Daiken brought the Alphess into a date. Slayer didn’t want to have anything to do with her, but no matter what he said to Daiken when he planned everything, he didn’t listen to him and just did what his stupid heart said. ‘I really don’t get what you see in her, or any other woman. We are very good alone, on our one.’ ‘Come on Slayer, we both know you also like her, at least just a bit.’ The wolf growled angrily. ‘Bullshit! And when you plan telling her about the danger you are? About Tanken and how he killed you previous pack? How he could come here and finish everything you care for? Her!’ Daiken quickly tensed his every muscle and clenched his jaws. Slayer went too far this time, but he didn’t have the will to continue fighting with him, it was a lost case.

Her words drove him back to reality and he looked at her quickly. The words of Slayer still screamed into his head. Should he tell her now, about Tanken? No... She asked something else. ‘What an excuse...’ Slayer growled again. ‘Just shut up. I don’t want to hear you again...’ Slayer thought in continues annoying Daiken but his own words also affected him. Tanken not just killed Daiken’s mate and offspring, he also killed his. When her hand took his, both, human and wolf, froze and turned to look at her. Her hand was a slightly colder than his, but so soft and even fragile. Even when they all knew that wasn’t true. Daiken slowly relaxed again, feeling safe and calmed with her touch. He smiled, not at her, but because of his own happiness. His fingers intertwined with hers softly. He had wanted to do that for so long now, but he never had the guts to do it, believing she wouldn’t like it and just remove her hand from his. No he had new hopes.

Remembering her question he glanced at his watch and saw they would have to wait just 5 minutes more. He reached his wallet with his free hand and opened it over his lap.  Taking out the golden tickets, he took one and caressed the letters for a second to then pass it to her. Linkin Park, Live. Times Square. NOV 1. VIP Entrance. He took his and save it carefully in his wallet. If everything ended up well tonight, he was going to safe that ticket as long as he lived. Just when he glanced to look at her expression to see if she wanted to leave now or stay, the black curtains opened and the silhouettes of various men and instruments appeared under very dim light. Their features could not been seen, but now everyone started to scream and shout the band’s name. Some love words and other unrecognizable words. The hand of one of the silhouettes went up and everyone got quit. Daiken looked around surprised at the power that band had to put a silence button to the entire mass of humans. The piano started to sound, loud and well-tuned. Mike Shinoda kept playing for more than one minute. More light illuminated the scenery and a thin tattooed shirtless man appeared and started to sing slow and calmed.
Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I'm picking me apart again
You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again

I don't want to be the one
The battles always choose
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
I know it's not alright
So I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit

As soon as he finished the third verse, all noise stopped and the electronic music started. Everyone shouted and clapped again along with the rhythm. The battery followed after some seconds and Chester Bennington started again with more enthusiasm and energy. Daiken smiled again at the music. It was an old song but he always liked it. His right left started to move along with the music and his hand squeezed hers very lightly. His eyes moved from the vocalist to her green eyes.

*~Thought I'd speed up the process since I've been procrastinating.

Her lips moved slowly to each passing lyric, readjusting the levels to her ear canals to drain out anything around her. It took at least a hundred years to accomplish such a gift, as it was hard for most beginners to focus their minds to think so easily upon them during their time of settlement in the body of the wereling's counterpart. Luckily for her, she was able to do these things, and still keep back to the real world to sense what all went on around her. The glow of strobe lights passed over her eyes, enticing them to an golden green and vibrant color to the ink drenched over her limbs. If she had of known they'd be going to a concert, she would have worn something a lot comfier, and lighter to wear, but instead she ignored it to cherish what so nicely caressed in her hand; him. Just looking at him, the rumble of disapprove tingled in spirals up her spine and turn her blood stream to heat up in a fulfilling way. As their fingers locked, Noctavia looked slightly down to see them -  a smile curling its way onto her face so quickly, her wolf growled to make it disappear and let loose of it. When her hand moved away, another side of her felt as if it were weakened, and the only way to regain it was to be closer to him. She did not understand why it felt like that, but she could not test further until she did some research, not only on herself, but her other self. ...What ever happened to being an only Alphess... Noctavia... That's what you've always wanted... so don't let a pathetic .. and younger wereling take that away... he's nothing... This made the fae look away from the Delta and towards the bandmembers in order to keep her thoughts to herself. As she attempted to hush her inner being, the voices within only started to rise in volume, ...He's nothing... They all repeated in chorus, though stubbornly ignored in the end as she blocked them out to release the louder sounds of the concert play over head.

Her hand went directly to the bun she placed her hair in and took  it out, raking her fingers through her hair to let them loose upon her shoulders so that she felt a bit freer. She smiled to the side at him and wrapped her arm carelessly around his waist to sorta, in a way, hug him. The actions she displayed were only a slight show of her true affections, as it was still awkward for her to feel or act this way, she really never knew what else to do in order to show it. The whole, 'crush' idea that ran through her head to make pictures of his smile come up were getting stranger, and sooner more or less the conclusion would be made. As for now, all she could do was smile and do as she pleased in order to tick her other side off even more than it already was. Noctavia leaned a bit of her weight on his side, watching as the concert slowly died off to their end the slower the songs became. Through the night, this is how it was, swaying to the beat of the songlist to what they played and rocked to, simply mouthing away the words together as if they were in a silent duet of their own. When the lights started to dim, the crowd jumped and clapped, shouting for their encore, but never to of received the simple request as she presumed the band to be tired. She would not be able to relate to the mortals, as it took a lot of effort to make a wereling tired, but she had known the long enough to know that it was the end. Striking one knowing look to Daiken, she moved her hand to place within his, and lead him through the crowd with a couple glares and swift strides so she could move quicker without difficulties. She wanted fresh air, which was what she hoped to get once she got outside, already smelling the city rain fill her nostrils the closer they got to the exit.

Once they were outside, the Alphess slightly get go of the male's hand, only to then squeeze it lightly back again as they moved down the sidewalk, "I had a lot of fun." Breaking the connection, she stuffed her hands safely into her coat pockets and looked around them, both to the darkened alleys and the city lights ahead. The night was still young, maybe they could move this party somewhere asides from their territories. She was always willing to get something to eat, or just go out and get a drink together, "What do you want to do now? There's no curfew anymore, I'll just save the paperwork for tomorrow to keep myself occupied." Her stomach wrenched, but was not hungry for blood. Hoping to curve the cravings, she took out a single cigarette and her silver lighter, lighting it aflame as she settled it in between her plump pink lips, "I could really go for a run right now, or a drink.." She mumbled quietly to herself, pinching out after a smooth drag of the smoke to puff it into the air over her head.

He kept looking at the band and then at her every now and then. He smiled slightly when he saw her lips moving slightly with the lyrics. As the first song ended and the second one started, he suddenly felt cold and alone. Noticing the reason he felt that need to take hold of her again, but he didn’t dare, yet. Daiken didn’t know if she wanted to even be so close to him. She agreed to come here and spent all day with him. They had fun, both of them, he could tell with her secret smiles and body language. Still, he was still testing how big was her happiness with him, to see if there was something else rather than a normal pack-mate relationship. His own feelings were long ago confirmed, even when Slayer kept annoying him saying that it was useless and such an idiotic thing, loving the Alphess of a dark pack. Daiken usually heard Slayer, now, he just ignored and made him to shut up. He finally felt happy and kind of complete since more than a century now, and he wasn’t going to surrender so easily. No matter Slayer, or anyone else, he was going to fight for her. The only one capable to make him back of now, was herself.

That cold feeling was abruptly replaced with one much warmer that filled him with new energy running along his entire frame when her arm hugged him. He looked at her sideways a bit surprised and a smile appeared, not being able to prevent it. Taking a deep breathe, her scent mixed with the beer, cigarettes’ smoke, and human blood and other smells all around them, making it much more pleasurable. His hand moved to caress the arm around him slightly, smiling again at the soft touch she was allowing him to feel. Several songs were played by the band, some new to him, others he loved, and others he wondered if they were of her liking or not. The lights started to dim until they were turned off completely. His eyes could adapt again to the darkness they were so used to. They loudness of the people was still annoying for his high sensed ears, and he gladly took her hand and moved through the crowd to get away from there.

Once out he let out a long sigh and took in a deep breath of a less contaminated air. The streets were more quiet and lonely, the night already visible in the sky over them. Glancing at his watch he smiled slightly. It was almost 8 o’clock. He looked at her as they walked side by side, instinctively letting her go a few steps before him respecting her rank and authority. His mind was already working in a ‘next time’ with her. It was surely going to be a place more lonely and quiet than this one, not filled with all the humans they could both hunt in some months. Lifting his head up as she spoke, Daiken nodded happily. “I’m glad.” He said simply. Her next words left him blank. He never thought she would like to spend even more time with him after everything they did. He was really happy to hear that, at the contrary of Slayer that started groaning they were going to pass more time together. ‘Oh, suck it up, wolf. I haven’t seen her in weeks. A day will not kill you.’ He said nothing but kept growing lowly. Daiken didn’t care at this point. He was very happy with Noctavia right now; no matter what Slayer could say, he wasn’t going to change his good mood.

“Well, that depends in the type of drink you would like, Noc.” He shut up as soon his brain processed he just nicknamed his Alphess. His amber eyes moved away not daring to look at her. He felt he just disrespected her, but he was so happy and relaxed that he forgot ranks, manners, or anything. The words just slipped from his mouth quickly and flowed like if he was taking to an old friend. A friend he had a big crush on, or actually, love. Daiken could feel his cheeks warming up with a slightly blush and he quickly looked away more. His eyes started to turn his usual greenish aqua just very near her. Closing his eyes and taking another deep breathe he calmed down and controlled himself again. He didn’t know if to apologize for the nickname or just keep talking and pretend nothing happened. He just stayed quiet for quite a long time until he noticed they were walking and walking without a destiny in mind. Clearing his throat, he dared to speak again. “We can go for a coffee like the first time we met, or if you wish for something stronger, I know a few underground bars that could do. I leave it to your choice, Noctavia.” He actually liked ‘Noc’, but he didn’t know if she liked it too or just felt annoyed with it.

A curious brow arched at him as he spoke her name as something shorter, even as it felt strange to be called something other than Noctavia, she didn't mind it. Hopefully next time he'd get the hint that he is still her Delta and friend she met from the beginning, and not a petty nicknaming one. Her one nickname would always be 'Tatts', the same one she had received a few years back to where Daiken already knew. However, no one but the elder hobo that watched her was allowed to say that, and only him. Not even Ryker was allowed to call her something short, as it was not professional, even if they were that close in relationship. Her jaw adjusted comfortably to the side as she cocked it slightly off its alinement, wondering how she should take it whether it be a kind gesture or not. As she did not wish to end the night over a simple thing, she gave him a look to not speak of it again and left it at that, continuing on their conversation of plans that she sought to find, "I've drank all kinds of boozes, and liquors known to man-kind, even some of the secret recipe my family had made back home." The mentioning of home caused a tightening in her mind, annoying it to a irritating point as her wolf growled to keep it away. She couldn't understand as to how she could search back so far through her memories and past, but Noctavia didn't worry too much of what happened then, and only the present.

"I know a place where we can go, they'll know who I am. But stay close when we go there, it might get out of hand if someone decides to pick an argument. Avoid eye contact with anyone that looks suspicious, and follow me lead." The smoke residue in her mouth ended up succeeding in holding down the hunger for human flesh, though it never did take a lot with how old she was, but it depended more on frequency in her diet. On a normal every day basis, she would consume only at most one human at average, as there was only so much blood in a mortal one could handle at a time. If she were to have a bit more equally each day throughout her life, she'd be a walking zombie, let alone the waste of clothing she'd have to get the blood out of, or throw away. As she gave her directions, a sense of worry washed over her, and a protective instinct over the male started to rise up from the cold dungeons inside. She wanted to forget it and leave it behind, but she knew that if her Delta were to be hurt, she would blame herself for once. Noctavia would make sure that wouldn't happened, not after someone she cared for more than the rest. He was special; he was her Delta now.

Looking up at the moon, the Alphess inhaled a longer drag of the stick before pinching it off and throwing it to the ground for her foot to be caught squishing it into the surface. While looking around them, she took him warmly by the hand and lead him out towards the busy sidewalks. There was only two ways she would be able to get to where her destination resided, go back to the hotel to get her car, or grab a taxi. The money would be covered easily, so the fact she was always free to have a ride made it easier on herself so she didn't have to always use her legs and own form of vehicle to waste. Gas was expensive now-a-days, so it was nice. Putting two fingers to the insides of her mouth, she glanced slightly to Daiken for him to watch, then curling her tongue back as she released out a loud whistle into the streets. Some heads turned, but that was normal for New Yorkers. Being a full-born city pet was not a big deal to her, as it was completely normal for her to act and feel this way to her surroundings. This is what she grew up around after all. The screeching of tires pierced into her eardrums, causing her to step back as it hurt her ears and press accidentally her back into his chest. If she had been paying more attention, she would have been able to drown out the sounds, but since she hadn't, her ears rang and she was caught off guard. Looking up at the male, she quickly eased her balance back to straight and sighed, "Ready?"

Daiken bit hard his tongue after he noticed Noctavia’s warning look. No. He wasn’t going to call her like that again. She surely hated it. He was lucky the only thing he got was a glare and not and end of this date, if you could even call it that way. Maybe he was exaggerating, but he almost screwed it and now he preferred to be quiet, not sure what to do or say. Daiken let out a silent sigh and looked down at the dirty street of Times Square. Was he even doing it right? Does it was even worth it? Ryker said he should try, but that was it. Maybe he wasn’t going to accomplish anything after all. In what was he thinking? A Delta with the Alphess? Idealistic... ‘Finally! You finally drop again into reality! Stop thinking about her like a friend or something more, it will never happen. She is your Alphess, period. Your freedom, our freedom, is done now. Thanks to her and this pack.’ Slayer was acting like a selfish bitch right now. Daiken knew that some words were right, the other, he simple didn’t want to believe in them.

His head moved up to look at her when she ordered him to stay close and follow her. Daiken was never one to avoid eye contact, at the contrary. He was always ready if someone wants to show him he was in a lower position. Now the only ones capable to do that were his pack mates and Noctavia. That included following her orders. Nodding at her quietly he told to his self to not cause any problems. The least he wanted to was make her angry and disappointed. But... If someone decided to put a hand on her, no matter if she could defend herself or the other was as strong as her, it was very possible his effort to be still will be shattered and he decided to step in. He hoped that wouldn’t happen. He wasn’t going to see how the Alphess fighting in her own, or any idiot trying to touch her. He remembered the story about Gabriel and his friend she told him.  His blood boiled with the thought and he knew that if that happened tonight, he was going to have a lot of fun.

Daiken looked at her and smiled slightly with her whistle. He stayed still as he stepped back and pressed against his chest. His hand moving up a bit to catch her if she loosened her balance but she recovered it as quickly as the taxi stopped for them to get in. Daiken nodded again at her question and stepped forward to open the back door for her. “Always.” He moved in after her and closed the door, wondering where was this place she wanted to go with him.
