At the age of seventeen while out on a hunt with her brother and guardian. She was unexpectedly attacked by a face from the past. Her father had found them. With her all her might she fought to fend him off but to no avail. In the fight she lost her dearest possession, Kedo.
With John's help they were able to chase him back into the darkness. With only a few parting threatening words. Sadly though even for all his strength John slowly past away from his wounds. Now all alone she searches for a new home far away from her past and far away from her father. Yet no matter how far she seems to travel his ominous threat still haunts her. Example Post: She slowly pushed through the undergrowth scenting the air. To the West she could smell the elk they had been tracking since sun down. Off to her right she could see John and Kedo slowly stalking forward. They were getting very close now she could almost taste the tang of its blood on her tongue .
"We should strike now, before the wind shifts," Kedo growled softly.
Kaiya snorted glancing towards him "and what make it run while you trip around like a clumsy lopsided rabbit?" At this John looked over at them vaguely amused as Kedo scowled at her.
"I've grown into my paws thank you, what's your excuse?" Kedo muttered staring at her. Before she could respond John twitched his tail signaling that it was time to split up. Without further word she headed off to the left. Ready to cut it off if it tried to make its escape through the narrow gorge.
Keeping to the darker shadows she peered through the trees. Up ahead she could see the elk as it raised its head. A rack out ten point antlers reflected dully in the moon light. A cruel reminder that their quarry could easily leave them walking away with more then an empty stomach. Kaiya froze as the elk's ears suddenly pricked.
Had it suddenly seen or scented her? She spat out a line of curses as it bolted its hooves thundering the ground. Springing forward she caught a glimpse of Kedo giving pursuit. Kaiya shrieked as a heavy weight fell on her. Turning in horror to find the treacherous face of her father.
"Kaiya!" Kedo screamed.
She woke with a start her heart hammering in her chest. A nightmare once again of that same horrible event. Getting to her feet she went to the window staring out at the cityscape. Leaning an arm against the window she closed her eyes. Perhaps here she could find a new family, and maybe, just maybe some hope to.
