The night was calm with a soft breeze. The leaves stirred and sang their soft secret song as the wind brushed its fingers through them. The moon was at its zenith and gave everything below it a silver light, causing the trees to cast shadows. A small flicker of unnatural light shined through it, casting a warm glow in a circle. Music came out in a haunting melody from a radio nearby.
Standing before the fire was a man that looked to be in his early twenties, but of course this was the age all Werelings stopped ageing. His hair was a dark brown and his eyes, his eyes were a bright gold that suggested that he was more wolf than human. He wore a black muscle t-shirt that clung to him in the perfect way to reveal each powerful muscle hidden beneath, dark blue jeans, and worn out Nikes he’d had for years.
A bustle of Omegas moved around him, some putting up folding tables, some putting snacks on the tables, while others fed the bonfire until it was at a good height. They were relaxed and carefree as they chatted as they worked, comforted by the presence of their Alpha. There was an excited air about them as they spoke, excited about the plans he’d previously shared with him, and had managed to keep quiet from the entire pack! Finally once things were done the Omegas looked to their Alpha, not daring to even take a nibble of the food until everyone was there and the Alpha himself had eaten.
Nodding to them and saying a quiet thanks that all of their sensitive ears could hear Gabriel phased halfway into his wolf form, his features becoming sharper as well as his teeth and ears. Throwing his head back the Alpha howled. The power filled song echoed over the entire territory, beckoning for those that heard to come. He made sure not to make it too demanding, for it wasn’t necessary for them to arrive. Gabriel only wanted to finally meet every member of his pack. He’d been flat out busy with protecting the turf and financial things that he hadn’t been able to meet every member his Betas brought in.
His face became more human and Gabriel crossed his arms as he listened for the approach of others. For some reason he felt oddly anxious to meet them and get everyone on good terms. He was also hoping to promote some wolves in rank, but he hadn’t fully made his decision on this yet.
(Just a little warning, I can’t get on all the time. If ya want to reply, that’s fine, but I can’t promise I’ll answer soon. I’m slowly getting more time to myself, but my schedule is a little unpredictable at the moment. Once I have more time, I’ll reply whenever I can. J)
